Job summary

LifeBridge Health's Northwest Hospital Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN leader to oversee 24/7 operations for a 55-bed unit serving a large community. You will mentor staff, drive patient-centered care, and ensure regulatory compliance while managing performance and lean improvement initiatives.

The role leads approximately 98 FTEs, reports to the Director, and requires Maryland RN licensure, BLS, and strong communication and change-management skills to build a high-performing

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 3-5 years of nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership skills preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate 24/7 Emergency Department operations.
• Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Monitor quality, safety, staffing, and financial performance.
• Implement evidence-based practices and performance improvement initiatives.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Experience in leading change management and process improvement.
• Experience with lean principles.
• Strong working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
