Job summary

Emerus partners with ChristianaCare to establish a neighborhood hospital of choice. The nursing leader will guide clinical and office staff, ensure compliance with federal, state and accreditation standards, and drive quality patient care in a growing hospital network.

The role emphasizes leadership, operational oversight, and collaboration with regional and corporate teams to maintain safety, service quality, and regulatory adherence across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• 3+ years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting.
• 5+ years nursing experience.
• Knowledge of JCAHO or DNV standards.
• FEMAICS 100, ICD 200, ICD 700, and ICD 800 within 60 days of hire.
• English fluency in written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, supervision, guidance and coaching for hospital employees.
• May serve as the Patient Safety Officer as granted by the Board of Directors and Medical Executive Committee.
• Conduct Root Cause Analyses with Patient Safety Committee to improve patient safety.
• Ensure hospital compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations.
• Handle patient grievances with regard to privacy and PHI.
• Lead facility inspections by licensing and accrediting agencies.
• Oversee Nursing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Front Office and Dietary.
• Maintain fiscal accountability through budget oversight.
• Complete and communicate employee performance evaluations.
• Drive data to regional management using defined metrics.
• Monitor quality indicators and coordinate with safety and infection control.
