Job summary

Highmark Health's Allegheny Health Network seeks an experienced RN for the Emergency Department at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. This full-time, on-site role supports a Level 1 Trauma Center and a transitioning ED expansion, with a patient population requiring complex care.

Shifts are 72 hours every two weeks with rotating weekends/holidays. Active PA RN license or multi-state licensure and CPR are required, with ER or acute care experience preferred and HIPAA compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• Valid PA RN license or active multi-state licensure (eNLC accepted)
• BLS/CPR certification required
• 1 year of recent Emergency RN experience or 2 years of acute care RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care for ED patients across age groups according to regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team for comprehensive plan of care from admission to discharge
• Assess learning needs of patients and families and provide education as appropriate
