Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga is seeking an Emergency Room Nurse (RN) to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. This role emphasizes advocacy for patients and families and adherence to nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.

The ER RN will assess pain, perform procedures, respond to patient needs promptly, and educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and self-management.

Qualifications

• 1+ Years of ER Experience Required
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• RN-Registered Nurse required

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassessments after intervention
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider and documents care in medical records
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications and follow-up
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures and prepares patients for self-management
