Job summary

Paycom is seeking an experienced ER RN for a full-time day shift. The role focuses on delivering high-quality emergency care using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while engaging with patients, families, and the health care team.

The ideal candidate will hold an associates degree or diploma in nursing, a valid RN license with Multistate Compact privileges, and current BLS; ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 90 days, with TNCC preferred within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an associate degree or diploma.
• Current RN license and Multistate Compact privileges.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP required or within 90 days; TNCC preferred or within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Educate patient and family with health information and written materials.
• Perform direct patient care following established procedures, policies, and standards.
• Assist patients and families with empathy while maintaining confidentiality and privacy.
• Assist in orientation/training of new employees and support staff.
• Assist other staff in their assignments and cross-train to ensure seamless patient care.
• Recognize staffing variations and volunteer to fill open shifts.
• Demonstrate sound judgment regarding questionable findings or concerns.
• Respond to rapidly changing patient care needs and environment.
• Assist providers with procedures or delegate tasks to health care team members.
• Maintain professional attitude and customer service in patient and family care.
