Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center - Emergency Dept in Snellville, GA is seeking an experienced RN for a part-time day shift. The role features 2 x 12 hour shifts per week with some weekends, and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

The 38-bed ED sees about 160 patients daily and is a Stroke/ STEMI receiving facility with full teamwork across ED providers, charge nurses, ED flow coordinators and support staff. BLS is required.

Qualifications

• RN license in Georgia required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• New graduates eligible; no experience required or Nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments including physical, psychosocial and health history data
• Evaluate developmental age and tailor education accordingly
• Organize patient data into a care plan and determine outcomes
• Carry out plan of care to achieve outcomes
• Provide care matching patient needs and disease severity
• Oversee activities of ancillary and support staff
• Identify teaching opportunities and provide patient education resources
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse/Manager or physician
• Document patient care accurately in the patient record
