Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse in Louisiana. The role involves independent practice in a hospital setting, providing routine and complex care and developing long-range goals for patient care. You will assign and delegate tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations.

Requirements include a BSN preferred, 1 year of relevant nursing experience, and active RN license or compact license, with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• RN license in state of employment or compact license.
• ACLS, PALS certifications required or within grace period.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Addresses complex psychosocial needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments, monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and families.
