Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Bellevue is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department. This fast-paced role supports a dedicated team and collaborates with board-certified physicians to deliver high-quality emergency care. The position is Day shift 07:00–19:00 with weekends and rotating holidays.

Education includes ADN or Nursing Diploma. Nebraska RN license (or compact) is required with BLS, PALS, ACLS, and TNCC/ATCN within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• ADN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or compact state license.
• BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program.
• PALS certification within department requirements.
• ACLS certification within department requirements.
• TNCC or ATCN within one year (department dependent).

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients.
• Care environments may be long term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team to ensure quality, compassionate emergency care.
