Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time position in Kansas. The role conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops care plans, administers medications, educates patients and families, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team. Accurate documentation and continuous improvement are essential.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, BLS, and has experience in an acute care hospital setting, with strong communication and teamwork skills in English.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing required
• Bachelor's of Nursing preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Experience in acute care hospital setting preferred
• Fluent in English (read, verbal and written)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to use computer systems and document in EMR

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff and departments to coordinate patient care and ensure safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust as needed to improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care to healthcare team members to ensure quality.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond promptly to code situations and provide necessary interventions.
