Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ER. You will work with medical providers to implement care using established nursing models and advocate for patients and families.

The role emphasizes pain management, timely documentation, prompt response to requests, and patient education on conditions, plan, and self-management. A strong team approach is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced cardiac life support training required within 60 days of start date.
• Basic life support training required within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training required within 6 months.
• PALS pediatric advanced life support required within 6 months.
• RN with two years of Emergency Room experience.
• Associate/Bachelor degree or RN diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassessments.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and documents care.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
