The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care at UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando, FL. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN uses established nursing models to assess, treat, teach and manage patient care.

Responsibilities include assessing pain, documenting care, responding to patient requests, educating patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.

Formación

• Florida RN license or multistate license required and must obtain Florida license within 60 days if relocating.
• 1+ year RN experience in an acute care environment preferred.
• RN Diploma, Associate Degree or BSN preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or instructor status within 30 days.
• ACLS Provider card required within 6 months of start date.

Responsabilidades

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassessments after interventions.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; documents care in the patient record promptly.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and strives to anticipate needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, status, treatment plans, medications and side effects; translates terms for understanding.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as diet and exercise, and prepares patients for future self-management.

Educación

Florida RN license and/or multistate RN license

1+ years RN experience in acute care

RN Diploma / Associate Degree / BSN preferred

NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days

BCLS within 30 days

ACLS Provider within 6 months
