Job summary

Newport Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will coordinate with physicians and the care team to deliver high-quality care based on orders and protocols.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient status, and educating patients and families about conditions and discharge care, while maintaining infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in clinical nursing or student rotations in acute care.
• RN license required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care following the nursing process and physician orders.
• Administer medications, monitor effects, and document administration.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities.
