Job summary

Meadville Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Extern in the Emergency Department for per diem shifts. You will assist the Professional and Practical Nurses with daily routines and direct and indirect patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Professional Nurse and LPN with daily nursing unit routines.
• Provide patient care under supervision, including admissions, transfers, discharges.
• Observe and document care delivered; assist in procedures.
• Answer call lights and support personal hygiene and ADL.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control practices.
