Job summary

Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, PA is seeking a Nurse Extern to support the Emergency Department on a per diem, part-time basis. Under supervision, you will assist with patient care activities and nursing routines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Gives patient care under supervision of Professional Nurse and LPN.
• Assists in admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Observes and documents care provided.
• Assists in complex treatment procedures as directed.
• Ensures safety and infection control practices are followed.
• Responds to call lights and attends to patient needs.
