Job summary

Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, FL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Clinical Supervisor in the Freestanding ED – Westlake location, full-time day shift. Requires active Florida RN license, 2+ years ER experience, and supervisory background.

Responsibilities include leading ED nursing staff, coordinating care by a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining stroke protocol readiness with NIHSS and related training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years emergency room experience. One to three years supervisory experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (current upon hire)
• TNCC (within 6 months of hire)
• Current Florida nursing license.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient and family.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members and directs nursing staff to achieve safe, optimal outcomes.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team and promotes Patient Centered Care.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times and maintains stroke awareness with NIHSS training.
• Assists ED physician with patient evaluation and thrombolytic therapy administration as indicated.
• Supports preparation of patients for Endovascular treatment and coordinates stroke alert processes.
