Job summary

Wellington Regional Medical Center is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) for the ER on day shift. The hospital, part of Universal Health Services, provides acute care and emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and continuous education for nurses.

The RN will deliver safe patient care, participate in stroke alerts, assist with CT prep, and maintain stroke knowledge through annual training. Florida licensure and BLS/ACLS are required, with pre-employment assessments completed as part of hiring.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• BLS (current upon hire).
• ACLS, and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment).
• Current Florida nursing license.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards and philosophy.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times and supports patient-centered care.
• Assists with stroke alerts, CT preparation and NIHSS bedside assessments as indicated.
• Maintains currency in stroke knowledge via annual online training.
