Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days and maintain.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 30 days and maintain.
• Minimum of one year ER nursing experience preferred.
• CEN certification and BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of others in the ED.
• Directly responsible for care given to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Communicates changes in patient condition with the physician and documents results.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
