Job summary

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the State of California is required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• One year experience in an emergency, telemetry or critical care area is required.
• CPR (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.
• PALS certification required within six months of hire.
• Training for care of behavioral health/aggressive patients within three months and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of each assigned patient.
• Supervising, coordinating and guiding activities with nursing staff members.
• Implementing the philosophy, goals and standards of care of the Emergency Department.
