Qualifications

• High School (or GED) diploma is required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• PALS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• NIHSS certification required.
• TNCC certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• ER nurse accountable for patient health status and health needs.
• Interpret health data and coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide preventative health practices and patient education.
