Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carries out patient care responsibilities with emphasis on nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides competent, safe and compassionate care based on NYU Langone Health standards.
• Formulates initial plan of care with the provider and collaborates to implement a comprehensive patient-centered plan.
• Educates patients and families regarding health status and plan of care; documents learning outcomes.
• Ensures unit throughput and quality/safety indicators are met (e.g., HAPU, CAUTI, CLABSI, Falls).
• Complies with NYS Nurse Practice Act and hospital regulatory requirements.
