Job summary

Baptist Health in Fernandina Beach, FL seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team on a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am). The unit delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care to coastal communities and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.

Required: 1–2 years medical-surgical nursing, telemetry, RN license, and BLS. BSN preferred; ACLS/CM preferred per unit standards. Diploma nurses with progressive care experience encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (required).
• BSN preferred; ACLS, TNCC or NIHSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence‑based nursing care for medical, surgical, and emergent conditions.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate care with ancillary services to support optimal outcomes.
• Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and satisfaction.
• Participate in staff meetings, unit-based initiatives, and continuous quality improvement.
