Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for the Brecksville ED. You will care for acutely ill pediatric to adult patients, perform assessments, triage, IV access and routine ED procedures in a fast-paced trauma center.

Required: Ohio RN license, BLS/ACLS ready or within 90 days, PALS/NRP within 6 months, TNCC within 1 year, NIHSS within 90 days. PRN status with certifications preferred for priority coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Ohio.
• BLS, ACLS current or within 90 days of hire; PALS/NRP within 6 months; TNCC within 1 year; NIHSS certification within 90 days.
• PRN must have current certifications at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and triage acutely ill patients.
• Provide IV access, blood draws and Foley catheter insertion.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking and delegation in a fast-paced ED.
