Job summary

MetroHealth Cleveland Heights Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 12-hour night shift (7p-7a) with rotating weekends/holidays. The unit has 20 beds and cares for acutely ill pediatric to adult patients, including Behavioral Health cases.

Required qualifications include Ohio RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS within specified times, TNCC within 1 year, and NIHSS certification within 90 days. PRN roles require 1 year of RN ER experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS (or obtained within 90 days).
• Current PALS and NRP or within 6 months.
• TNCC within 1 year.
• NIHSS Stroke certification within 90 days.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience in the specialty.
• PRN must possess current certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessments and care in a high-acuity ED.
• Perform triage and urgent interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with Paramedics, PCNAs, and Providers.
• Demonstrate time management and critical thinking in emergencies.
