Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System's Coshocton Medical Center in Ohio seeks an LPN to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department under RN supervision. The role requires current Ohio LPN licensure, IV certification, CPR, and pharmacology training, with a focus on accurate measurements and medication administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year previous nursing experience.
• Current Ohio LPN license.
• Current IV certification for LPN (with exceptions).
• IV certification within one year for Genesis Surgery Center.
• IV certification not required in listed areas.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Completion of an approved pharmacology course.
• Ability to communicate effectively, observe, assess, and document.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction of an RN, in a warm and friendly manner.
• Accurately takes and records measurements or readings.
• Administers prescribed medications as indicated by the physician.
• Works collaboratively with other caregivers on the unit.
