Job summary

Monroe County Hospital is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide emergency nursing care as part of the interdisciplinary team. The role involves triage, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and patient education in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The LPN will collect patient histories, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality care across shifts. This PRN position requires flexibility and strong clinical skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current, valid LPN certification in Georgia required.
• Current, valid AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient symptoms and history and coordinates with care team to plan and evaluate care.
• Performs triage and supports base life safety.
• Administers medications and manages IV therapy as prescribed.
• Cleans and bandages wounds; provides basic bedside care.
• Records vital signs and documents care concisely and timely.
• Float among clinical services as needed and assist physicians during exams and procedures.
