Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Emergency Department night shift. The role includes providing patient care under supervision, coordinating with team members, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Licensure: LPN license required in hiring state.
• Experience: Hospital-based experience; preferred 1 year ED experience.
• Certifications: BLS certification; LPN-IV certification required or completed within deadlines.
• Physical Requirements: Stand/walk most of shift; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Emergency Department under supervision of licensed physicians or RNs.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments to maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness in documentation and medication administration.
