Job summary

Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospital in Durham, NC, a premier 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital, seeks an ER/ICU Lead RVT or skilled assistant to manage floor operations. The role includes task prioritization, training, and acting as liaison between staff and management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an emergency or intensive care veterinary medicine role performing the required technical skills
• Advanced drug dosage calculations including dilutions and multi-drug CRI calculations
• Proficiency in the placement of sampling or central lines, NE and NG tubes, and nasal oxygen
• Demonstrated familiarity with common emergencies, medications, and treatments
• Experience leading CPR
• Experience providing extensive nursing care for critical patients
• Proficiency in anesthetic monitoring

Responsibilities

• Our leads work on the floor as emergency technicians or assistants with additional responsibilities including assisting in task prioritization and workflow, training, and acting as a liaison between staff and management.
• Lead the team in a respectful, collaborative manner to achieve common goals
• Communicate effectively with teammates, clinicians, management, and clients
