Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Float Pool ER team on a PRN basis. The role involves delivering professional nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department and critical care setting, with accountability for assessments and care delivery using standard nursing processes.

Requirements include an RN license, an associate or bachelor’s degree, ACLS and BCLS certifications within specified timeframes, and 2 years of acute care RN experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license (Registered Nurse) is required to practice.
• Degree: Associate or Bachelor's in Nursing.
• 2 years Acute Care RN experience required.
• 1+ years of critical care experience preferred.
• 2+ years ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Float Pool RN in ER delivers professional nursing care to all patients in a critical care setting.
• Performs assessment of patients and uses the nursing process for care delivery.
• Assumes charge position as needed and maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions.
