Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN seeks an Emergency Room Float Pool Nurse to provide direct patient care within the RN scope. The role emphasizes therapeutic communication, safe care environments, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include assessing patient plans, administering meds, documenting and monitoring status, and educating patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Tennessee Board of Nursing or compact state required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an emergency room is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate the patient care needs and will carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
