Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare in Grand Junction, CO, seeks a full-time EMT/Paramedic to provide life support and patient care in the ER during night shifts. You will document care, assist physicians, and support patient movement and education.

Requires CO EMT/Paramedic license, BLS, and IV certification on hire; one year of experience is preferred. The position emphasizes safe patient handling, rigorous infection prevention, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current Basic EMT or Paramedic license in Colorado.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers on hire.
• IV certification required on hire; IV certification included for some licensure.
• One year of related experience preferred for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and inform clinicians of changes.
• Collect blood, urine, saliva, and stool samples.
• Insert Foley catheters and perform straight catheterizations.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and assist with procedures.
• Assist with patient movement and safe handling.
• Assist with admission, transfers, discharge instructions.
• Maintain charts and respond to calls as unit secretary.
