Prime Healthcare seeks an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX. The role involves immediate patient care, basic life support, and patient transport within the ER. Shifts are 12 hours, and the position is per diem as needed.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and close collaboration with ER staff to ensure timely, safe care. Required certifications include BLS, EMT licensure, ACLS/PALS within 30 days where

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Basic EMT training or ER experience.
• Current BLS certificate required; ACLS/PALS within 30 days; EMT certification per state rules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, immediate patient care using EMT training and BLS.
• Perform initial patient assessments, monitor vitals, and communicate findings to ER staff.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to support coordinated patient care.
• Assist in triaging arrivals and prioritizing care per clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of treatments and outcomes.
• Inspect and manage EMS equipment and supplies for readiness.
