Job summary

Ascension St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee, WI is seeking staff for the Emergency Room to support procedures, respond to Code Blue and trauma calls, and provide clerical and training support under supervision of a registered nurse.

Minimum requirements include BLS certification and relevant Wisconsin credentials (EMT, MA, CNA or HHA) along with a high school diploma and related training programs. This full-time evening shift role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following required: Wisconsin EMT license, AAMA Certified Medical Assistant, Wisconsin CNA with Nurse Aide Registry eligibility, Wisconsin Home Health Aide credential.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a CNA, EMT, MA or HHA program; medical terminology class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures ordered by a physician and/or RN under board of nursing and department rules.
• Respond to Code Blue and trauma resuscitation calls within the department.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Provide training support to other staff under the direction of an RN.

Education

Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Licensed Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the state of Wisconsin

Certified Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin

Certified Home Health Aide credentialed from the state of Wisconsin

High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA/EMT/MA/HHA program completed
