Job summary

HCA Florida JFK North Hospital is seeking an ER Discharge Coordinator to manage Point of Care patient bedside scheduling within the centralized ER and Urgent Care Follow-up programs, aiming for a responsive patient experience and timely follow-up.

The role focuses on scheduling follow-up care at the bedside when appropriate, maintaining quality standards, and delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Speaks with customers, patients and stakeholders in a pleasant and professional manner; Communicates appropriately and clearly with department leadership, co-workers and customers/patients.
• Will schedule patients for follow-up care bedside when appropriate.
• Ensures performance and quality standards are met.
• Provides superior customer service to internal and external customers and patients; Supports the vision and strategy of the organization, positively promotes the services offered, and elevates issues to leadership as appropriate.
• Suggests ideas for positive changes to department policies and procedures.
