Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required OR Master’s degree in another discipline with BSN.
• For orthopedic areas (non-nursing): MS as Athletic Trainer required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible senior nursing leadership experience.
• Active RN license in Georgia; eNLC license if virtual care activities.
• Nurse Executive Certification (NE-BC/NEA-BC) or CNML/CENP within 1 year; BLS; ACLS as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of strategic growth and operational objectives for the service.
• Collaborate with entity ACNOs, physicians, and nursing staff; align goals with Emory Healthcare’s mission.
• Use data-driven analytics to project growth, financial impact, and service vision.
• Develop programs to enhance value-based services and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee clinical and operational workflows to optimize patient care and service efficiency.
• Ensure cost-effective resource utilization and monitor nursing budgets.
• Standardize policies, orientation, training programs, and clinical competencies.
• Foster collaboration to maintain accreditation, certification, and high performance.
• Engage with Quality to lead service quality committees and initiatives.
• Promote evidence-based practice to improve patient safety and risk management.
• Monitor quality metrics to improve outcomes and avoid penalties.
• Support staff development through coaching, mentorship, and competency assessments.
• Maintain a healthy work environment that encourages collaboration and morale.
• Plan and execute financial strategies to meet budgetary goals; advocate for resources.
