Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team in South Carolina. You’ll deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while supporting pet parents in stressful moments.

You’ll collaborate with doctors and teammates, perform advanced nursing tasks, and continue growing your skills within our fast-paced, compassionate VEG environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year veterinary technician experience, emergency or specialty preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state where VEG practice is located is required.
• Strong communication and ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced ER.
• Able to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg; available for nights/weekends/holidays.
• AVMA-accredited degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Perform treatments including IVs, CRIs, transfusions, and related procedures.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain smooth care flow.
• Support pet parents and maintain a compassionate presence during emergencies.
