Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN seeks an RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to guide patient movement with clinical support and coordination. You will optimize staffing, patient placement, and resources to deliver organized, safe, and patient-centered care.

Leadership will connect with physicians and care teams to remove barriers, provide escalation support, and ensure timely, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years in ER nursing.
• ACLS and basic life support required.
• PALS for pediatric life support preferred.
• RN license and current practice.
• Academic degree or diploma in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient placement, triage, EMS handoffs, and transfers.
• Align staffing with patient volume and department needs.
• Monitor delays and collaborate on process improvements.
• Support safety initiatives, experience programs, and quality outcomes.
• Partner with physicians and care teams to remove barriers and provide guidance.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Every patient deserves attentive, timely, and well‑coordinated care. As the RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput, you will play a key role in ensuring patients move through the Emergency Department with clarity, clinical support, and thoughtful coordination. By aligning staffing, patient placement, and clinical resources, you’ll help teams deliver care that is organized, safe, and patient‑centered. And in moments of urgency and complexity, your leadership will keep caregivers connected, supported, and focused on their mission to care for and improve human life.

Your role will include:

• Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers
• Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs
• Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutionsSupporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes
• Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers
• Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed

What qualifications you will need:

• 2+ Years of ER RN Experience Required!****
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt
• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
