TriStar Century Farms ER in Nashville is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in the fast-paced ED.

You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, assess patients, perform procedures, educate patients and families, and document care in the medical record while upholding our commitment to exceptional outcomes and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• ER experience required; ability to work in a fast-paced ED.
• ACLS and BLS certifications must be obtained within defined timelines.
• RN license and Associate Degree required.
• Strong patient-care and documentation skills.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and speciality. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.

What qualifications you will need:

• 1+ Years of ER Experience!
  
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree
