Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals in Madison, WI is seeking a personable Client Service Representative for part-time daytime hours. As the face of the hospital, you will greet clients, answer phones, collect payments, and help explain fees and services to pet owners.

You will also assist with basic record keeping and keep the reception area neat, welcoming, and efficient to support our mission of top-notch client service.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and answer telephones.
• Perform phone triage.
• Present and explain fees, including processing payments.
• Recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answer questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care.
• Manage medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and organization.

As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:

• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors and answering telephones.
• Performing phone triage
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care/
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times-both inside and outside.
