Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Charge RN for the Emergency Department in Georgetown, KY. You will manage shift operations, adjust staffing as acuity and census change, and coordinate coverage and bed flow to maintain smooth patient throughput.

This role requires Kentucky RN licensure, a nursing degree, and BLS certification. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support orientation for new staff while promoting open communication and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Kentucky or work permit.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• BLS certification required; must obtain within 30 days if not already.

Responsibilities

• Manages shift operations for the Emergency Department, adjusting staff assignments as acuity and census change.
• Coordinates bed placement and patient flow with supervision and staffing office.
• Communicates staffing changes to Clinical House Supervisor and/or Staffing Office.
• Provides guidance to co-workers in assessment, clinical skills, and problem solving.
