Job summary

Baptist Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role covers the 2nd shift (11AM-11PM), with a 44-bed ED treating 150+ patients daily. We are a STEMI receiving center and a Primary Stroke Center, offering a comprehensive orientation and strong teamwork across specialties.

New graduates with appropriate training are welcomed. The RN will provide clinical care, promote positive patient outcomes, and participate in governance councils to drive quality

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky Nursing License.
• BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop plans of care.
• Provide care according to policies and procedures.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions.
• Demonstrate organizational skills and clinical leadership.
• Apply critical thinking in a fast-paced ED setting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes.
