Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current California RN license.
• ACLS, PALS, AB508 and NIHSS certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily patient care activities and staffing.
• Act as a resource for staff and notify physicians, nursing supervisors, and family of changes in condition.
• Oversee nursing evaluation, care, and consultation; cover staff breaks.
• Ensure Code Blue, Fire, Emergency and Disaster plans are followed.
• Promote quality assurance, safety, and a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Participate in program development and implement operating policies and procedures; monitor equipment and supply usage for safety and cost-effectiveness.
• Assist the Director with employee counseling, annual performance reviews, and the new hire interview process.
• Coordinate services with other patient care units and liaise with allied services.
