Job summary

HCA Florida Atlantic Free Standing Emergency Room is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit operations during the designated shift.

In collaboration with the management team, the ER CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serving as a resource for staff and upholding the organization’s vision and values to support excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher, or obtained within 3 years of hire/transfer
• Current RN license in the state of practice or active Compact/Multi-State license
• Current AHA/ARC BLS Health Care Provider certification
• Current AHA/ARC ACLS Health Care Provider certification
• Current AHA/ARC PALS Health Care Provider certification
• Prior ER RN experience required
• Leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge to ensure throughput and high-quality care
• Monitors quality of patient care in collaboration with management
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and better outcomes
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed
• Operates nursing strategies (hourly rounds, staff engagement) to improve outcomes
• Recommends and implements staff training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management
• Oversees inventory control and supplies management
