Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead nursing care during shifts, ensuring high quality patient outcomes. You will work with the management team to supervise staff, coordinate admissions, and monitor clinical performance in a fast-paced ER setting.

The role emphasizes patient-centered service, staff development, and adherence to hospital policies. Strong clinical leadership and collaboration skills are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Must be a Florida-licensed RN or compact license with FL in 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS and TNCC within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training required within 6 months.
• National Board Certification (CEN/CPEN) highly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal communication, and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services in the unit.
• Collaborates with managers to create teamwork that improves outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies to improve engagement (rounding, hourly rounds, etc.).
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training staff; supports performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management.
• Supports inventory control and supplies/equipment management.
