Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to oversee nursing care and staff coordination on the ER unit’s shift. You will collaborate with management to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and support operational goals.

The role emphasizes admissions/discharges, staff development, service excellence, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Florida RN or compact licensure with FL license active within 60 days.
• Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS/ENPC certifications within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training within 6 months.
• National Board Certification (CEN/CPEN) highly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admissions and discharges for efficient throughput.
• Monitors quality of care in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery.
• Implements nursing strategies and hourly rounds to boost engagement.
• Provides guidance on interviewing, training, and evaluations.
• Helps with staff scheduling and productivity management.
• Oversees inventory control of supplies and equipment.
