Job summary

CARIN Alliance is seeking a full-time, day shift Emergency Room Charge Registered Nurse in Topeka, Kansas. You will manage shift operations, coordinate with Nurse Manager and House Supervisor, and ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include supervising patient care, mentoring staff, and participating in evaluations. The role requires a Kansas RN license, BLS, and ACLS as required for the unit, with a preference for a 4-year degree and prior ER experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a 2-year degree and current Kansas RN licensure.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire; ACLS certified for unit.
• Preferred: a 4-year degree and experience in a similar healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care and coordinate with the Nurse Manager and House Supervisor.
• Assign patients each shift and mentor new staff.
• Participate in performance evaluations and ensure quality patient care.
• Assess patient and family needs; develop and revise care plans.
• Ensure adherence to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
