Job summary

Norman Regional Health System's Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the night shift (7p–7a) to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting. The ED serves 95,000+ patients yearly as a Level III trauma center, coordinating with EMS, physicians, PAs and NPs to stabilize and treat a wide range of emergencies.

The role requires a valid Oklahoma RN license, BLS and ACLS during orientation and ongoing training; ADN/ Diploma with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ADN required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Oklahoma RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS training or retraining required during orientation and maintained during employment.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess patient health care needs across age groups and conditions.
• Develop nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes with care teams.
• Coordinate and implement nursing care using evidence-based practice and policy.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust plans accordingly.
• Practice professional nursing and lead the department in absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Maintain ACLS during employment.
• Promote bedside handoff at shift changes.
