Job summary

Henry Ford Health's Emergency Department seeks an Emergency Room Technical Assistant to support patient care under direct supervision of a registered nurse or provider. You will assist with assessments, treatments, and procedures, prepare sterile trays, and help with patient transport and room turnover.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and BCLS certification; ER or medical assistant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ER tech experience or medical assistant experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required or to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs and Providers with assessments, examinations and treatments.
• Prepare and assist with procedures and sterile trays.
• Document patient care performed and maintain room cleanliness.
• Interact with patients and families to ensure good patient experience.
• Transport patients and supplies and restock equipment as needed.
