Job summary

Physicians Regional Healthcare System in Naples, FL is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to support the ED team with patient care under licensed staff supervision. You will help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment and assist with communications among care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include direct patient care (vital signs, accuchecks, EKGs, IVs), patient transport, infection control, EMR documentation, and rapid response during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Technical school completion of Nursing Assistant, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant courses required.
• 0-1 years of clinical experience required.
• CNA or CPT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department including splinting, Foley insertion, accuchecks, vitals, EKGs and IVs.
• Assist with patient transport and ensure safety and timeliness.
• Keep the ED clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control standards.
• Communicate with patients, families and the care team; report changes promptly.
• Document care activities in the EMR accurately and efficiently.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and support the care team as needed.
