Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (EDT) to support clinical care under RN supervision in a fast-paced ED setting. The EDT performs tasks aligned with patient comfort, safety, and monitoring as delegated by the RN in accordance with Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines.

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen collection, documentation, and assisting with patient mobility and comfort measures.

Qualifications

• Minimum education as listed: High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of direct patient contact in hospital or first responder settings.
• BLS certification required; Violence Prevention (AVADE) certification preferred.
• Ability to perform tasks under RN supervision per Ohio Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical care tasks as assigned by RN per Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines.
• Monitors vitals, collects specimens, documents in medical records.
• Provides patient comfort, hygiene and safety support as directed.
