Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an ED Tech Advanced at the West Hospital in Ohio. The role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and other healthcare professionals, adhering to regulations and hospital policies.

Responsibilities include basic patient care, vital signs, lab draws, ECGs, wound care, and additional duties such as IV care and 1:1 safety support. Strong communication, teamwork and empathy are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) program is preferred.
• Current or required BLS/CPR certification is preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under RN guidance.
• Performs ED tech advanced tasks including colostomy care, IV insertion/removal, and monitor transport.
• Completes patient rounding and 1:1 safety companion services as needed.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse; documents accurately.
